The grill weight weighs 1,5 kg and is used to press the meat or fish against the frying pan or grill surface. This removes air pockets and provides an even and faster cooking that retains both juiciness and flavour. With the grill weight, you prevent thinner pieces of meat, such as bacon or chicken breast, from curling during cooking.
